Protect small children from the dangers of your swimming pool and/ or hot tub with this child-proof latch. The latch can not be opened by anyone who can not reach the top of the push rod. 
The pool-safe latch unit is made from shock resistant plastic.  Latches are available in black only. Latches self-latch and may be padlocked for further security. Latches allow gate(s) to swing in both directions. Pool-safe latches are required in some areas and by the national BOCA code. Chain link latches bolt on in minutes assuring safety for children and pets. Color: Black only

Ordering the correct size
 
Measure the O.D. (outside diameter) of the gate frame (A) and the latch post (B). The actual measurement is slightly less than the stated size. Both actual and stated sizes are listed for easy reference. If you find that your size is not listed, choose the closest size to your actual measurement. A difference of 1/8" does not matter. The latch will fit anyway.

For latches for example 2” x 1 3/8” = 2” O.D. Latch post x 1 3/8” O.D. gate frame.

For hinges for example 2” x 1 3/8” = 2” O.D. Hinge post x 1 3/8” O.D. gate frame.

Operation:

To open: push down on the top of the bar at the top of the gate. This will 'unlock' the fork type latch allowing it to swivel, so the gate can be swung in or out.
To close: swing the gate closed and the fork type latch will swivel and lock into place. Can be used with automatic closing type gates.
